To what extent does psychological safety exist in your organisation?
Psychological safety is vital for building trust, openness, and collaboration in organisations. When it exists, people feel able to speak up, share ideas, raise concerns, and learn from mistakes without fear of blame. Without it, silence and disengagement take hold. Reflecting on my own career and recent NHS reports, it is clear that fostering psychological safety is not optional, it is essential for growth, innovation, and a healthy culture.
